Screenshots
Updated
In WealthCharts, we have our own screenshot tool so you can send an inquiry to our support team. To find this, click on the "?" icon at the top-right corner, and then select Take Screenshot.
Enter a title and description of what you are inquiring about, and our tech support team will reply to you shortly.
Please keep in mind that the above screenshot tool does not work with menus that are open on your WealthCharts platform. If you are using a Windows computer, follow the instructions below to email in a screenshot using the built-in Snipping Tool:
Open the Snipping Tool
Click the Start button (Windows logo) on the taskbar, type "Snipping Tool," and click it in the results. Shortcut: press Windows key + Shift + S to jump straight into snipping mode and skip the app window.
Take your snip
In the Snipping Tool window, click "New" (or the + button). The screen dims, and a small toolbar appears at the top. Pick a mode (Rectangle is the most common), then click and drag over the area you want to capture. Let go of the mouse and the snip is taken.
Save the snip
Your snip opens in the Snipping Tool window. (If you used the shortcut, click the pop-up in the bottom-right corner of the screen to open it.) Press Ctrl + S or click the Save icon (floppy disk), pick a folder, give the file a name you'll recognize, and click Save. On Windows 11, snips are also saved automatically by default to Pictures > Screenshots.
Find the file in File Explorer
Press Windows key + E to open File Explorer (or click the yellow folder icon on the taskbar). Go to the folder you saved to. If you didn't pick one, click "Pictures" in the left panel and open the "Screenshots" folder. Files there are named by date and time, like "Screenshot 2026-10-16 143022.png", and the newest is usually at the top or bottom of the list.
Start your email
Open your email program (for example, Outlook) and click "New Email." Fill in the recipient, subject, and message as usual.
Attach the snip
Click "Attach File" (the paperclip icon), then choose "Browse This PC." Go to the same folder from step 4 (such as Pictures > Screenshots), select your snip, and click Open or Insert. The file shows up as an attachment under the subject line, and you can send the email.
