Adding Indicators

Updated

For some traders, their trading is driven by making informed decisions swiftly and accurately. Adding indicators to your charts is the key to unlocking deeper insights and seizing market opportunities. Continue reading this article to learn how to find and add your indicators!

With these 3 easy steps, you can find & save your indicators on WealthCharts! 🚶‍♀️

Locate

Find your indicators by right-clicking anywhere on your chart and then selecting Add Indicators. This is the first option at the top of the menu. You can also add indicators by clicking on the Indicators button at the top of your screen, located to the right of the timeframes section. Withing the indicators menu, locate your favorite indicators from the WealthCharts Exclusive section, Premier section, Standard section, and more!

Change

After loading your indicators onto your chart, you can change and update each indicator in a few different ways. First, you can right-click your chart, then navigate down to the Configure Chart menu! Another way to change your indicators is to navigate to the indicator display, which is the box with a + in it in the upper left corner of your chart. Clicking this will display your applied indicators, and clicking the Settings (gear icon) for each indicator will bring up its menu. Finally, you can also double left-click the indicator if there are no other indicator overlapping it!

Save

You've put a lot of work into your chart! Be sure to save it as another layer by saving it as a Chart Template. Right-click your chart again, go to Chart Templates, and then select the Save option. If you wish to apply it in the future, click the Open option. As a reminder, be sure you save your layout too so that way all of your work is done!

Additionally, if you would like to save default parameters for each indicator, simply select the Set as Default button at the bottom left corner of the Indicators' Parameters menu. You can reset the settings back to the WealthCharts defaults at any time.

Changing the Set as Default setting means that each time you load that specific indicator from the Indicator Menu, it will hold the same settings you set it to when you selected Set as Default! This setting does not override indicator settings saved in Chart Templates or Technical Analysis Sets.
